On Sunday, June 20th, Derek Schmidt, a 2010 graduate from St. Tikhon Seminary, who was sponsored by our parish with a $6,000/year grant for the past three years, visited our parish to give thanks and offer a token of his appreciation, an icon of the Theotokos and Christ. In his address to the parish  Derek spoke of the strong bond he felt with our community, and commented on the freedom to study without financial worries that the scholarship provided for him. We pray that God will continue to bless Derek as he discerns his future involvement in the life our Holy Church.
 
In addition, we also honored all of the father, grandfathers, and godfather of our community. May God continue to bless them as they struggle to fulfill the vocation of fatherhood in a devout and holy manner. A special thanks to our St. Andrew "O" Club Chapter, which sponsored gifts for all of the men of our community.
