Fr. Michael Oleksa Visits CTS - 05/30/10

On Sunday, May 30th, V. Rev. Dr. Michael Oleksa (Chancellor of the Diocese of Alaska) visited our parish to con-celebrate the Divine Liturgy. He also offered the homily, in which he spoke about martyred Priest, St. Basil Martysz, who served in the United States before his death in Poland, as well as Blessed Mother Olga Michael, who lived a life of piety as Priest's wife, and who after her death has proved an instrument of Christ's healing and comfort to many throughout N. America. At the conclusion of the service, Fr. Michael distributed icon prints of Blessed Mother Olga. It was truly a blessing to have Fr. Michael with us, and to be introduced to the lives of St. Basil and Blessed Mother Olga, who as Fr. Michael reminded us, lived their Christian lives to their fullest, in time and place God had appointed for them - the same task we have as well. Through their prayers, may we also be faithful to the end!
