Troy Polamalu Meets CTS Members - 03/20/10

Troy Polamalu, All-Pro safety with the Pittsburgh Steelers and a Greek Orthodox, attended a sports card show sponsored by Harrisburg area alumni for Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 20, 2010.   Carl Hisiro, a member of Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church in Harrisburg, was the organizer for the event, and he ensured that Janet Kuzupas, another member of Christ the Saviour and a huge Troy Polamalu fan, had an opportunity to meet Polamalu.  Escorted by the V. Rev. Father Daniel Ressetar, the two of them had the opportunity to chat for a minute with the Steelers' star and take a photo.

Polamalu signed over 800 autographs at the event for his fans.  For those familiar with Polamalu's autograph, he signs his name using three crosses and then looping them together and finishing with his jersey number "43".  The show was a huge success, netting $50,000 for the scholarship endowment fund that the alumni has set up with the Foundation for IUP for Harrisburg area students attending IUP.
