On Saturday, February 27, our parish hosted our local Orthodox clergy association's (OCCSCP) Young Adult Fellowship Annual Lenten Retreat, which featured OCMC Missionary to Albania, Nathan Hoppe. Nathan spoke on the lessons he learned and experienced about Christ's victory over death, in the tragic, yet grace-filled passing of his wife Lynette from cancer. The talk was based upon the book "Lynette's Hope" which contains diary entries and correspondences from his wife duing her battle with cancer. It was a very moving presentation, and those gathered enjoyed the spiritual nourishment, and fellowship it offered us during our Lenten journey.
